Rasha Kahil (LB, 1980) is a visual artist living and working in London, originally from Beirut, Lebanon. She completed a MA in Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art, London, in 2009. Her projects take the form of photography, text, video and installation. She has exhibited solo and in group shows and art fairs internationally, including in London, Paris, Istanbul, Zurich, Taipei and Beirut. Kahil is interested in photography in relation to both documentation and performance for the camera and the spectrum of realities that lies in between. Often taking the landscape/urbanscape as a starting point, she oscillates between the memory a place holds, and the significance it takes on once being photographed and trespassed.
