Programme Highlight: Living Room

by Unseen August 28 2018

Unseen Amsterdam 2018 presents a rich and varied programme for visitors to engage with contemporary photography. To give some insights ahead of the event this September, we’ll be using this feature to shed light on some of our most exciting programme elements.

This week in the spotlight is our vibrant speakers programme, the Living Room. Join us from Friday to Sunday at Unseen Amsterdam and listen to an engaging series of panel discussions, presentations and talks with artists, photography specialists and industry creatives from across the globe. Co-curated this year by Futures and Aperture, the Living Room aims to ignite fresh conversations on the most pressing themes in contemporary image-making.

Every day will be kickstarted by a series of talks curated by Futures, a new European photography platform that pools the resources and talent programmes of leading photography institutions. Futures has selected a range of emerging talents featured in the Futures Talent Pool to talk about their varied approaches to themes such as Shape and Memory. Aperture’s panel discussions follow, where leading artists, writers and photographers converse over a range of in-depth themes. Also don't miss Artists Talks, where both emerging and established artists shed light on their creative process; Premiere Presentations, the Unseen Dummy Award Ceremony and a Live Session by Expert Photobook Review.

Check out the full Living Room programme below and start planning your visit to Unseen Amsterdam 2018!
